Who we are
A Bay Area–based boutique publicity firm, Associated Publicity is Tim Buckwalter and Trista Ngo.
We specialize in narrative and documentary features and shorts, as well as film festivals. Our clients include Sony Pictures Classics and Magnolia Pictures. And we lead publicity for top regional festivals, including IndieFest, CAAMFest, Frameline, DocFest, and the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.
Associated has also driven the Bay Area campaigns behind numerous Academy Award–winning and nominated films, including Breathing Lessons: The Life and Work of Mark O’Brien (1996), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), The Lives of Others (2006), Navalny (2022), 20 Days in Mariupol (2023), The Last Repair Shop (2023), and Mr. Nobody Against Putin (2026).
Recent work includes Cutting Through Rocks, The Alabama Solution, Come See Me in the Good Light, and The Voice of Hind Rajab.
